Omg if I laugh too loud, what will they think of me? If I don’t reach on time, what will they think of me? If I go to the cafe and not buy food, they’ll think I am miser. If I don’t get a good job, they’ll think I am not capable enough. She is staring at me, do I look awkward? They will think this and they will think that. OH MY GOD!

All we do is worry about the people, what will they say and what will they think and in the process of worrying about what others think of us, we forget who WE ACTUALLY ARE. While worrying about what they say about us, we forget what our own heart says to us and what are instincts say to us.  We have forgotten the real sole of our identity and what WE really want. While trying to come up to the expectations of our ever-so-judgemental society, we tend to forget what we once expected of ourself and disappoint our own self. Our life has become a party where all we do is merely take selfies and pictures with our friends and come back without actually having fun. That party which has all the elements and ingredients required to have fun but we don’t really know how to utilise them because we are too busy taking photos because no photo means no prove, and no prove means nothing to put up on Facebook.

My question is WHY? Why do we worry about the society and the people so much that we end up making our life a puppet show? Who are they to matter so much? What is it exactly that they have done for us to make us owe our life’s decisions to them? Do they do our dishes? Do they drop us at our college everyday? Do they help us with our work at the office? Do they do our laundry? Or do they pay our grocery bills? What exactly have they done for us?

WHAT?

WHAT?

WHAT?

Nothing right? Then why do you have to live your life according to them? Why do you have to change yourself for them? They’re not worth it. Nobody really is. If they were worth changing yourself for then they wouldn’t have asked for it in the first place.

Do what sounds sane to you without bothering about what others would say.

Use your own conscience and do what you think is right for you.

Do not let them decide what’s best for you.

If you feel like being crazy, then be it.

Make your own set of mistakes.

Make your own set of rules.

Live for yourself!

Not others.

Love life and see how it will love you back!

live for yourself
