Summers are here! Everyone has been raving about this lately. It acts as a blood purifier, detoxifies your system, hydrates more effectively, adds glow to your skin, leaves you feeling fresh and acts as a natural boost for weight loss. Every next celebrity is posting their pictures enjoying this on their instagram. Some choose to consume it hot while others prefer it icy cold, it depends on one’s own choice. It is, however, beneficial both ways. WHAT IS IT?
Detox Water – Your New Best Friend for the Summers!
Summers ask for more liquids to stay hydrated and healthy. When you are going to consume tonnes of water, juices and other liquids, might as well make it a little more interesting. Add some zing to the regular drinking water. Here’s the detox water recipe and how you can make it!
Ingredients:
- Drinking Water
- Watery Fruits and Vegetables
How to:
Take any of your favourite fruits or vegetables or maybe both. Fruits and veggies with high water content are preferable since they will add to the level of hydration one will consume. Therefore fruits like, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, cranberries, oranges, grapefruit and other citrus fruits, pineapples and lychees are a great idea. As for vegetables, go for mint leaves, cucumber, lemon, ginger, spinach and aloe-vera.
Cut slices of the fruits and veggies, keep them aside. Fill a clear bottle three-fourth with drinking water and add one-fourth of ice to it. Put a few of your sliced fruits and veggies and let them sit for 15 minutes or so. TADA! It is ready to be boozed upon!
Preserve the leftover slices in the freezer for later use or simply munch on them. Do not waste anything.
As for detox tea, instead of ice you are going to simmer the fruits in hot water and then drink it while it’s hot. Mint detox tea with lemon and honey is one of my favourites. It aids digestion and adds glow to my skin. I like my tea really hot in the morning to instantly wake me up.
Stay Hydrated!
