The Marvel Cinematic Universe is taking up the world by storm! Every other person you meet has either heard of Marvel or is obsessed with the comic-based movies. One of the latest additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the TV show that has become one of the most popular miniseries’ in the world – WandaVision!
WandaVision was released earlier this year, premiering exclusively on Disney’s streaming platform, Disney+. The premise of this iconic TV series revolves around two main MCU characters – Wanda Maximoff, also known as The Scarlet Witch, and Vision, the vibranium-based synthezoid who was introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
WandaVision dealt with Wanda’s grief over losing the person she loved most: Vision. It took the viewers on a journey through the stages of grief, embodied by Wanda, as she created an almost magical fake reality in the form of a perfect, little town – Westview. Hurdles came in the form of a witch named Agatha Harkness, who attempted to destroy Wanda’s perfect reality and steal her powers. Wanda and Vision stood together to defeat the forces working against them, and were ultimately successful.
After watching WandaVision, a burning question arises in the minds of MCU fans: What is next for Wanda?
The answer: A lot! Wanda has only recently discovered that she is a witch. With her newfound powers of incantation, there is a lot in store for our favorite MCU superhero.
